So, sometimes I can get a little serious on here.  Today is the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centers, Pentagon, and the crashing of the plane into a Pennsylvania field.
It's crazy that it's been 12 years since the 9/11 attacks. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago, it still makes me sad. After visiting the 9/11 memorial last year, I realize more how many people lost their lives (and how many were left here to deal with losing that person). Seeing all those names was only what I could describe as very intense. It's hard to actually realize how many lives were lost that day.
It was very sad, but when I got to this one man's name (down below), it was when my heart started breaking. Someone had left a flower and a peanut butter cup. It really hit me then how real these people were, and how those in their lives still miss them. They had personalities, they had favorite foods and chocolate bars, they had family and friends.

I also spoke to one of the guards at the memorial, and she had been living in NYC during the 9/11 attacks. She was talking about how much the memorial meant to her, how much of an effect the day had on her life.

Pray today for God to hold the whole country in His hands, comfort us, and let us know He is STILL HERE. Pray  for all those who personally knew someone who's life was taken away because of hate. I couldn't even imagine. I hope they have the peace of God's love in their lives.

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

So, continue to keep those families in your prayers, because they still need it after 12 years. Plus all those in the military who defended and are defending our country. And pray for America, because we definitely need it, too.
God Bless America, land that I still love.
